Young Manchester has been established as an independent, city wide Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) that has been set up to develop a new way of working to support Youth and Play services for children and young people across Manchester, by working with partner agencies to commission work at a local level. There is a Young Manchester Constitution ratified by the founding trustees which we strongly encourage you to read as this will be the guiding document moving forward.
Following a trustee recruitment process over the summer (promoted on this website) the following people were selected as trustees to add to the founding trustees:
- Simone Spray – CEO, 42nd Street
- Tom Russell – Semi Retired & current Chair of Factory Youth Zone
- Chris Oglesby – CEO, Bruntwood
- Hannah Smithson – Head of the Manchester Centre of Youth Studies (MCYS)
This brings the total number of trustees to 7. There are 3 remaining vacancies including MCC’s second nomination. These remaining positions will be filled at a later date. Any queries about this should be directed to Adam Farricker – a.farricker@manchester.gov.uk.
