Jenna Saide, retiring VYM Chair writes:
On behalf of the current VYM Trustees (Kieron, Claire, Janet and myself) we would like to say goodbye and best wishes to all the VYM members who have supported us over the last year. It has been difficult in 2016-17, we have been unable to secure alternate funds and we faced the departure of our long-standing Development Manager Ross Grant; these mirror many of the challenges faced across the wider youth and voluntary sector.
However, we leave the year on a positive note, we have been able to finalise our work with Manchester City Council through a series of small sub-contracts and I am delighted to announce that we have a new group of Trustees ready to take over the helm and lead VYM into the future.
Keiron, Claire and myself are standing down but Janet will stay on as a trustee and John will remain as company secretary for a little while to help with the transition. Andrew Seedall, Amelia Lee and Alia Pike will be new trustees from the 3 April 2017.
Best wishes to you all
