Traineeships for 16-18 year olds in Greater Manchester

Armstrong Works/Access Creative College have been delivering traineeships for 16 – 18 year olds in the Greater Manchester area since November 2018. The traineeship is a full time programme over 20 weeks including individual progression in English and Maths (if not gained a C/4 or above at GCSE), 240 hr placement, BTEC in work skills and personal and social development.

The placement is intended to be a meaningful work experience opportunity in their chosen field or to enter into a fast track scheme which could lead to an apprenticeship or education (if they feel they are ready for this sooner).

Armstrong Works are part of the same group as Access Creative College who have been delivering creative education for over twenty five years. Now offering courses in Games, Media, music and events, the college has fantastic opportunities for any trainees who have a keen interest in the creative industries.

There are several employers on board with the scheme and who are looking forward to working with the new trainees. A bespoke package is delivered which is available to each person.
