Supergestures – Workshops for young people

FutureEverything invite 15 to 25 year olds to join a workshop on 13 January 2018, 12.30am-4.30pm at Manchester Central Library to explore the part they can play in these changes.

• How does technology impact your everyday life?
• What stories do you want to tell others in your city?
• What future do you envision for Manchester?

FutureEverything will use wearable technology (technology that you wear on your body) to sense their movements and gestures as they move around the streets of Manchester. In participating, they will be co-creating audio and digital content for an outdoor event and public film to be screened at an exhibition together with artist Ling Tan in association with FutureEverything and commissioned by CityVeve.
FutureEverything will be asking them to consider your feelings and relationship to the city, to technology, to their visions for the future, and will join together in inventing a language of SUPERGESTURES that embodies collective contributions to the future of Manchester.

This is suitable for ages 15-25 years old.

Refreshments will be provided.
