m13current08M13 Youth Project specialises in street-based detached work and project work with young people in Ardwick, Manchester, an ethnically and socially diverse area close to the City Centre and the University. Our aim is to work together with young people to foster enjoyment, learning, action and change. We work from an inclusive Christian value-base, using the principles and practices of informal education and community development.

Lead Detached Youth Worker with Young Men

We are seeking a youth worker who can lead and develop work with young people, in particular with young men through street-based detached work, individual & group work and support, and who can participate in other elements of M13 Youth Project Work.

Hours: by negotiation, 25 – 30 hours p/w, including three evenings. (Full-time is 37.5 hours per week.)

Salary: 4-point scale between JNC points 11 – 16, depending on relevant experience and qualifications

Contract: permanent contract, M13 Terms and Conditions, subject to satisfactory probation.

Vacancies at N-Gage

ngageN-Gage are looking for people that have a heart for local communities and the ability to work with young people aged between 10 and 18.  The areas that we will cover are Higher Blackley, Moston and Charlestown. Each session will be detached, using a youth bus to help us engage and build relationships with young people in each area.
