Share our passion for supporting children and young people across the city: become the Treasurer of Young Manchester.
Young Manchester is an independent, city wide Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) set up to develop a new way of working to support Youth and Play services for children and young people across Manchester, by working with partner agencies to commission work at a local level.
We need your skills and experience to help grow and develop the charity, in order to make a difference in the lives of children and young people across the city, and the wider communities in which they live.
In an era of cutbacks, Young Manchester aims to provide children and young people in communities across the city with increased opportunities in all aspects of their life by commissioning projects that respond to their ever-changing needs and building on the existing work of Manchester City Council and experienced providers across the city.
The trustees and recently appointed Chief Executive of Young Manchester welcome expressions of interest from individuals who have the variety of skills and experience needed to support the charity in its next phase of development, as outlined within the role and person specifications.
Once appointed the Treasurer will be required to commit 4-5 hours per month to the charity which may include preparing for meetings, attending trustee meetings and overseeing the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with the constitution, legal requirements and keeping up-to-date with relevant developments. Plus up to 3 days a year to attend a board away day and any sub-committee that are relevant to the role of treasurer.
