1. Campaigning

vym bubbleEnsuring members are fully informed about – training, funding, jobs, events, opportunities for young people, etc, via regular electronic, paper and face to face means. This includes network meetings enabling members to share knowledge and experience, develop practice and work together to identify individual and collaborative solutions. VYM also encourages and facilitates sub-networks addressing key areas of youth work practice, such as participation, girls work and boys work.

This will build upon VYM’s key successes in the last 5 years in promoting and defending the need for the voluntary youth sector to deliver services across Manchester, via successful campaigns such as Keep the Youth Fund in 2014/15, the Transition fund in 2011, as well as regular lobbying and dialogue with strategic partners through citywide and local fora.
