Hard to believe it’s getting on towards a year since I left VYM. I spent 9 years there, worked with some amazing people, achieved some incredible things, and then I guess, maybe ran out of steam.
So, what happened next? Well, to begin with I needed some reflection time to review my options, to bake some bread, brew some coffee, clear some head space etc. So, having explored some ‘interesting’ business ideas, done a few job applications, and had many helpful conversations, it became clear that I couldn’t leave behind all that I had done and learned, or the people I had worked with through VYM. In fact, feedback from former colleagues suggested there might even still be a ‘Ross-shaped’ gap in the support for Manchester’s voluntary sector.
So here I am having established my own business offering coaching, mentoring and mediation services, focusing on managers and trustees of small to medium sized non-profit organisations. Of course, given 9 years at VYM I can’t stop myself from being a networker / collaborator, so the new business offers support from myself and others, including an experienced mediator.
I’d love for you to visit us at www.freshperspectivecmm.co.uk, where you can not only find out more about what we offer but also sign up to a forum aimed at VCS managers and leaders, to facilitate discussion and debate about things that are important to you.
And of course, if there’s anything I can do to help, then please do contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to hearing from you.
