Smart Futures are running in Manchester from 3 April – 13 April and 30 July – 17 August and applications are now open. The programme starts with 2-3 weeks of paid work experience and employability skills training during which time the students complete a Level 2 qualification in Team Leading from the Chartered Management Institute. Students will gain a variety of transferable skills that will give them a head start in their career.
The programme is designed so that the skills the students learn can be applied in any job or industry. At the end of the 2-3 weeks, each student is allocated a mentor from EY who will support them for 10 months for anything related to education and employment.
The programme is for:
• Year 12 students in state schools
• Students who have been eligible for free school meals within the past 6 years (i.e. household income is below £16,190 if in England)
• Students studying any combination of A-Levels
There are no academic entry criteria for the programme, but students do need to complete an online application and take part in a telephone interview. For more information, visit: www.ey.com/uk/en/about-us/corporate-responsibility/ey-foundation-smart-futures-apply, or email: Jodie.email@example.com
