CTZN is a smartphone based app that aims to connect young people with community based activities, and to incentivise and reward them for taking part. It has been developed by a Manchester based design and tech company, Gencia, in partnership with Greater Manchester Police, and has been informed by young people from Enthusiasm Trust. It’s also free.
From an organisational point of view, it also provides an opportunity for voluntary and community organisations to promote your activities to young people within the bounds of a safe social network. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how to sign up.
In the meantime, CTZN are seeking partners and advisers who can assist them in ensuring this resource reaches the right people in the right way.
CTZN aims to have 2000 young people download the app by the end of March with a longer term target of 20,000 across Greater Manchester.
